VoxUkraine and the Kyiv School of Economics invite you to a two-day seminar "Ukraine: An Insiders’ View on Macroeconomics, Central Banking, and Monetary Policy” (November 28-29, 2015) where leading economists and policy-makers will explain the economic grounds of the current situation in Ukraine and share their expectations about its future prospects.

What to expect:

  • Objective and high quality analysis of economic processes explained by the world leading experts (e.g., Yuriy Gorodnichenko, UC-Berkeley, the most cited young economist in the world according to RePEC);

The course will outline the most critical issues for countries in the aftermath of economic and political crises, with particular focus on macroeconomic and financial stabilization in Ukraine. At the end of the course, each participant will get better understanding of the causes of the 2014 economic crisis, the actions the Government and the National Bank of Ukraine have taken to overcome it, as well as the steps taken to prevent crises from happening in the future.

In addition, VoxUkraine is grateful to the National Endowment for Democracy and KyivStar for financial support. The annual operational budget of VoxUkraine is about USD 100-150 K. These costs include salaries of researchers and managing and executive editors, costs of translation and copy-editing, office, and organization of events. VoxUkraine would like to become financially independent in order to continue maintaining editorial independence and resist external political and “friendly” pressure. In order to do that, we ask participants to pay for the events like this one. (Currently, the budget deficit is absorbed by the editorial board of VoxUkraine.)
